A poetic-visual research exploring songs about Jerusalem through the Five Stages of Grief model. This project challenges the linear path of mourning, offering instead a circular, unresolved journey through loss, sacrifice, and cultural memory. Jerusalem becomes a metaphor for national and personal grief, with each song placed within a symbolic stage—Acceptance, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, and Depression. Visuals, classical artworks, and textual highlights are used to question the price of devotion and the myth of closure. The project invites viewers to enter a contemplative space of mourning—intimate, layered, and open-ended. Presented in a small-format book designed in black and white, emphasizing the emotional tension between individual and collective loss.
