Documentary animation explorIing the transformation of my mother, who transitioned from a housewife to a flight attendant later in life, navigating between two parallel spheres of service: the domestic home and the airplane cabin. Through critical reflection on themes of feminism, invisible labor, and agency, the visual language deconstructs and recodes objects, color palettes, symbols, and environments. This progression raises questions about the paradox of finding liberation within an inherently non-feminist system, reflected through performing strikingly similar tasks across both domains. By blending local archival materials with a graphic framework inspired by airline safety cards, the film seeks to elevate a personal narrative into a broader social commentary.

A graphic system that symbolizes the stages of narrative through the aesthetics of safety cards, arrows and color coding.

Local archival materials – functioning as a historical record of familial and collective memory while examining how far we have come, framing the historical position of women in relation to the present, and asking where we are headed in the future.

Parallel actions in the home and on the aircraft emphasizing and surface the paradox.

Finding freedom and female agency in a system that is inherently non-feminist and doing the same actions that at home raise questions of feminism, invisible labor.

The paradox is featured also by a reversal in the sound design and a cinematic structure based on an infinite loop.
